Kingston upon Hull

Here is the latest recorded crime data for the Hull City Council area for the 12 months ending December 2021, released by the Office of National Statistics on 28th April 2022.

Total recorded crime was 36,828. Compared to the previous 12 months this is a decrease of 3%.

Key increases and reductions in Hull:

Hull has seen a 4% increase in the number of violence against the person offences, driven mostly by an increase of 6% in the 'Stalking and Harrassment' category which is included in this crime group. Violence with injury went up by 3% and the less serious 'violence without injury' category increased by 3%.

Robbery offences reduced by 24%. Reported sexual offences showed an 8% decrease and overall theft offences registered a 16% decrease. Vehicle offences were down by 17% and reported burglary figures were down by 29%. Criminal damage and arson offences showed no increase.

Hull saw a significant increase in the number of bicycle thefts (up 28%) and shop theft continued to decrease with a 22% reduction.
