Here is the latest recorded crime data for the Hull City Council area for the 12 months ending June 2022, released by the Office of National Statistics on 27th October 2022.
Total recorded crime was 37,877. Compared to the previous 12 months this is an increase of 2%.
Key increases and reductions in Hull:
Hull has seen a 2% increase in the number of violence against the person offences. Violence with injury went up by 12% and the less serious 'violence without injury' category increased by 2%.
Robbery offences increased by 4%. Reported sexual offences showed a 2% increase and overall theft offences registered a 15% increase. Vehicle offences were up by 26% and reported burglary figures were up by 1%. Criminal damage and arson offences were up 3%.
Hull saw a significant increase in the number of bicycle thefts (up 102%) and shop theft increased by 5%.
