Humber VAWG Partnership

Ending Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG) Partnership

We are working in partnership with a number of organisations across the Humber area to tackle violence and abuse against women and girls. Our long-term aim is to change a toxic culture which has been ingrained in our society for years; to ensure future generations treat women and girls respectfully and understand fully what it means to be part of a healthy, consensual relationship.

For members of the public who wish to contribute to this work there are two Independent Advisory Groups (IAGs) focussing on VAWG, one for those local to Hull and East Riding and one for those local to Northern Lincolnshire, to find out more and join the IAG please email: SpocCommunitySafety@Humberside.pnn.police.uk

Understanding Violence Against Women and Girls in the Humber Area

This report was commissioned to better understand the scale and impact of violence disproportionately affecting women and girls locally. Using an adapted national survey, the Victim Focus team analysed the responses of over 1600 women and girls aged 16+ living in the Humber area. It is hoped that the findings in this report may be utilised by partners to help address Violence Against Women and Girls. You can find out full report here.
