Funding available for school holiday activities

Wards

A map of council wards eligible for funding

Grants from £300 up to £10,000 are available through The National Lottery Community Fund’s Awards for All England programme this summer for projects that will support young people primarily aged 11 to 18 (and up to 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities) starting during the 2023 school summer holidays. This is the first phase of the Million Hours Fund, which totals £11 million nationally up to March 2025. This funding will support a range of youth services offering a variety of positive activities for young people in eligible council wards with the highest reported numbers of antisocial behaviour incidents.

Bidding is open to VCS organisations, schools and statutory bodies to engage with young people at risk of antisocial behaviour and deliver additional youth provision. Projects must start during the school summer holiday with a grant value of £300 to £10,000.

To bid for funding, your project needs to be delivered by trusted adults, whether they are qualified youth workers/youth support workers or experienced volunteers, and provide open or targeted (for example, via youth faith groups) provision for young people. The qualifying Council wards in our area are:

East Riding of Yorkshire: Minster and Woodmansey; Tranby.

North East Lincolnshire: East Marsh; West Marsh; Heneage; South.

North Lincolnshire: Ashby; Brumby; Crosby and Park; Town.

Hull: Central; Longhill and Bilton Grange; Newington and Gipsyville; Orchard Park; St Andrew's and Docklands; West Carr
